Requirement 

This is a Business Development / Sales position with deep telecommunications domain expertise. The role requires the necessary business experience and judgment to identify qualify and sell value generating value propositions to the C Suite in the Telco Industry. Focus areas will concentrate on addressing industry imperatives including operational efficiency, risk management, growth enablement and compliance. Expertise will be required in back office operations, data management, front office analytics and the regulatory environment. The role will target identification of BPO opportunities in all of these areas, offshore and near shore. Attention to traditional offshoring disciplines including call centers and voice related activities will also be required. 

  • Understanding of:
    • the core operations of Telecommunications firms.
  • a wide range of asset classes and markets
  • systemic issues including applications relevant to core processes
  • regulatory issues associated with outsourcing including data privacy and protection
  • Knowledge of core business drivers in the industry
  • BPO related experience in one, or more, of the following industries: Telecom, Service Providers, etc.
  • A fundamental understanding of the Business Process Outsourcing services
  • Demonstrated ability and maturity to sell and build relationships with C-Level executives (COO, CIO, Shared Services Executives, CFO,  CPO and HR divisions)
  • Experience in generating demand / pipeline and establish client contacts on a proactive basis inside and out of existing accounts.
  • Experience and strong understanding of BPO services including Back office Operations, Contact Center, Help Desk, other voice and non-voice / back-office (cross portfolio) based processing.
  • Ability to identify and align people, process and technology to drive operational efficiency
  • Experience in driving and leading cross-functional teams remotely – excellent communication, organization, and project management skills required.
  • Experience in consultative solutioning, pricing and selling of voice and non-voice BPO Services to C-Level executives.
  • Revenue targets for bookings and billings adaptability
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen quality approaches
  • Experience in working with offshore (e.g. India-based) service providers and multiple-time zones
  • (12-16yrs total experience) 

Roles and responsibilities 

  • Biz Dev (demand generation & pipeline) & driving new BPO order bookings for Telco clients
  • At least 10 years operational experience in the Telecommunications industry with wide exposure to central operations around back office
  • Lead RFx process, soln. presentations & client workshops
  • Solutioning, pricing and selling cross portfolio of BPO services outlined above by leveraging onsite-offshore model
  • Identify & drive pricing models in opportunities.
  • Independently develop and lead / driving client engagements and account / sales plans.
  • Evangelizing BPO value proposition and building relationships with C-Level executives
  • Executive reporting (MBR/QBR) internally and to the customer

Base Location =  Dallas or Chicago

75% travel in North America.

telecommunicationsThe Business Relationship manager works out of San Jose, California and must have a committed focus on client relationship management especially to build and maintain consultative business relationships with C- level executives within the client organization. The individual will be responsible to accelerate the account’s business vision and deliver exemplary customer service and revenue growth. He must be able to independently negotiate and manage contract terms and must be able to discover, pursue and close opportunities to enable further account penetration.
